Malayalam actress Kalpana passed away !
Mollywood had suffered a great loss today as one of the best actress here in Malayalam Cinema, named Kalpana, passed away today morning at Hyderabad Appollo Hospital. She had been admitted to Appollo hospital Hyderabad today morning in a critical condition. She had felt some health problems today morning and suddenly taken to Appollo Hospital at Hyderabad, but as per reports she had died before reaching the hospital. Heart attack is reportedly saying as the reason for death and more details about the reason will come very soon. Her dead body is now kept there at the Hospital. Kalpana was 51 years old and she was born in 1965 as the daughter of V P Nair and Vijaya Lakshmi who were popular stage artists.
She had acted in more than 300 films and had made their presence felt in major Indian languages as well. Her sisters Urvashi and Kala Renjini also become the popular actresses in Mollywood and they are still active in South Indian films. Kalpana’s last released film is Dulquer Salmaan starrer film Charlie directed by Martin Prakatt. Kalpana had also won national award for best supporting actress for her performance in the film named Thanichalla Njan.
She has been considered as one of the best actress in Mollywood and played comedy roles more in career. Her association with Jagathy Sreekumar is very popular in Mollywood. She had made her debut through the film named Pokkuveyil by G Aravindan in 1980. She made her entry as a child artist and later become one of the integral part of Malayalam cinema. She had acted in Tamil and Telugu films as well and in Tamil she had acted in some noted films as well. Kalpana was married to Malayalam film Maker Anil of the Anil-Babu duo and later they were divorced in 2012. She had a daughter named Sreemayi and daughter was living with her.
