Nivin Pauly’s blockbuster movie Premam re-released in Chennai
Nivin Pauly is one of the most popular Malayali actors outside Kerala. With the success of his films like Thattathin Marayathu, Premam, Bangalore Days etc, Nivin’s popularity widened. He now enjoys a considerable following outside the state, especially in Tamil Nadu.
His 2015 blockbuster film Premam was a smashing success in TN. The movie became a rage among the youngsters who celebrated it like never before. Nivin became an overnight star in the neighbouring state as Premam enjoyed a theatrical run of around 250 days in Chennai.
Surprisingly, the Alphonse Puthren directorial has now been re-released in Chennai. Nivin Pauly shared the news in his Facebook page with a screenshot of the movie’s seat occupancy. This is probably the fourth time that Premam is being re-released in Chennai. That shows the movie’s popularity among the Tamil audience.
Premam is a coming of age love story that showcased the three stages of the lead character George. Newcomers Anupama Parameswaran, Sai Pallavi and Madonna Sebastian played the three female leads, who go past George’s life in each stage.
Premam gave a big break a lot of youngsters like Krishna Shankar, Shabareesh Varma, Sharafudheen, Siju Wilson, composer Rajesh Murugesan and cinematographer Anend C Chandran. The movie was a sensation with the direction, music, performances, costumes and everything being highly raved about.
