No alcohol and no cigarettes, but Pepsi lead Rajesh Pillai to death !
Director Rajesh Pillai had passed away today and Mollywood film industry still not recovered from that shock. He died due to severe liver disease that he was suffering for years. He was suffering with Liver Cirrhosis. Doctors even advised him a liver transplantation as well years before. But many of them thought that Rajesh Pillai was an alcoholic or may be a chain smoker, as many thought that Liver Cirrhosis was attacked him due to that life habit. But one of his close friend named Subrahmanian Sukumaran posted in his Facebook account that Rajesh Pillai was never used alcohol and he was not a cigarette smoker as well. But it was Pepsi that lead him to this disease and eventually to death.
Subrahmanian Sukumaran says that Rajesh told about the food habit he had while he was working on his first film. He only ate junk food and drink almost 30 can of Pepsi per day at that time because only it was available at the place where he stayed for working on that film. Later the doctors also find this Pepsi drinking habit as the prime cause of his disease. Rajesh had almost regretted at his food habit when he spoke to Subramanian once.
Subrahmanian said that Rajesh Pillai is a person who really scared of injections in hospitals and later he had to adapt to that while he had to fight with this disease. He said that last time when he met Rajesh, he was working on the screenplay of Vettah and he was very confident about the success of the film. He also believed that he will be cured very soon from the disease as well. He had lot of plans to make some films and also to study more about cinema. But all that dreams of a man with great creative skill ended like this due to junk food.
Malayalam cinema world is now expressing their deepest condolence to the family and friends of this talented film maker and Rajesh Pillai, will live forever in the heart of Malayalam film lovers.
