Prithviraj to produce Mammootty film My Daddy David
Mammootty and Prithvi Raj joining again after Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukkutty wriiten and directed by Renjith. Prithviraj had produced that movie under his banner of August Cinemas. Now, he is all set to produce another Mammootty starrer flick named My Daddy David, which will be directed by a debutant named Haneef. Other details about the film is not yet revealed to the media and it is expected to come soon.
Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukkutty in which Mammootty played the lead role was released in 2013. But it was a box office disaster. The film had cameos from Mohanlal, Dileep, Jayaram etc as well and Mammootty played himself in a little cameo appearance he had made apart from the main character of Mathukutty.

Later in 2014, Prithviraj had played a cameo in Mammootty starrer flick Munnariyippu, directed by Venu and produced by Renjith. Both these actors shared screen together for the first time in the film named One Way Ticket directed by Bipin Prabhakar. Mammootty had played a cameo in it by playing himself.
Later, these two shared screen together in the Vysakh directorial film Pokkiri Raja. Prithviraj’s last two production ventures was Double Barrel and Darwinte Parinamam. While Double Barrel become a disaster, Darwinte Parinamam was just an average grosser.
Mammootty’s last release was Puthiya Niyamam which ended up only as an average grosser. He is waiting for the release of White directed by Uday Ananthan and films like Kasaba also on its way. He is now doing Thoppil Joppan by Johny Antony. Prithviraj’s another production venture Anuraga Karikkin Vellam with Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead may hit the screens this month.
