Priyadarshan reunites with Urvashi after 28 years for the latter’s 700th film
Priyadarshan is helming a new Tamil film titled ‘Appatha’. Urvashi is playing the lead role it, which is also the actor’s landmark 700th film. The last time Priyadarshan and Urvashi worked together was 28 years back for the Malayalam film ‘Midhunam’.
Last day, the director took to his social media handle to share a photo with Urvashi from the film’s sets. The latter is seen sporting an old age getup in the photo. More details regarding the project are awaited.

Priyadarshan’s last outing in Tamil was for a short segment in the Netflix anthology ‘Navarasa’. His film had Yogi Babu, Nedumudi Venu, Remya Nambeesan and Manikuttan as the leads.
Meanwhile, the ace filmmaker’s dream project ‘Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham’ is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on December 2. Starring Mohanlal in the titular role, the war-epic has several big names in the cast and crew. The film’s release has been delayed by over 2 years due to the pandemic.
Priyadarshan is also planning to work with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar next year.
