Pulimuruagn first day collection crossed 4 crore mark ?
The most awaited Mollywood Movie of this year had released last day here in Kerala. Yes, it is Pulimurugan, starred by Super Star Mohanlal. The film had got stunning reviews from both critics and common audience alike and now thrashing box office records one by one here in Mollywood.
The film had released in 214 screens here in Kerala and it had around 900 shows as well here on its first day. The first day collection report of the movie had not yet come officially because there were many fan shows in the morning and extra shows at mid night on its first day and the team needs some time to calculate all those due to the big release.
But as per their early estimates it is a record breaking figure. The film had earned 4 crore+ on its first day and thus becomes highest first day grosser in the history of Mollywood. The film had raked in this amount from its Kerala run alone.

The previous best in Mollywood was Kasaba, starred by Mammootty and it had grossed around 2.48 crores on its first day from Kerala. Pulimurugan had surpassed it with a stunning margin of more than 1.5 crore.
The all-time best figure in Kerala on first day was set by Kabali, starred by Super Star Rajinikanth. It had earned a figure around 4.27 crore on its first day from 306 screens here in Kerala.
We have to wait till the official confirmation of the opening day gross of the movie to see whether it had surpassed Kabali or not. But if Pulimurugan was a solo release, it would have broken that record like a cakewalk.
Pulimurugan had close to 140 fans shows and 30 extra shows on its first day and it had many a number of extra shows on its second day as well due to heavy rush. History in the making for sure.
