Second schedule of Mammootty’s Masterpiece starts rolling in Kozhikode
It’s already known that Mammootty is playing the lead in Rajadhiraja fame Ajai Vasudev’s upcoming movie, speculated to be titled as Masterpiece. The team had been shooting in a college in Kollam for over a month before taking a schedule break. The second and final leg of shooting commenced in Kozhikode recently.
Masterpiece is a campus based mass thriller written by Udhayakrishna, his next after the blockbuster success of Pulimurugan. Mammootty is playing the role of Edward Livingston aka Eddy, an English professor. A stellar cast is part of this film. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan will be seen as police officers in the film. Other supporting cast includes Gokul Suresh, Mahima Nambiar, Poonam Bajwa, Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Maqbool Salmaan, Kalabhavan Shajon and Santhosh Pandit among others.
Vinod Ilampally is handling the camera while Deepak Dev will be composing the music. Royal Cinemas owned by CH Muhammed is producing this movie.
Earlier, there were reports that the movie will hit screens for Onam season but the makers have pushed the release date further and are eyeing to release it for the Pooja holidays.
