Vanitha Film Awards 2016 announced : Prithviraj and Parvathy won this one as well
Vanitha Film Awards 2016 has been announced and as expected, Prithviraj and Parvathy Menon had won the best actor and best actress awards respectively for their performance in Ennu Ninte Moideen. Prithviraj had given a great performance as Moideen in the film. Parvathy had got the award considering her performance as Kanchanamala and also for her performance as Tessa in Charlie. This pair had won the best actor and actress award at Asianet Film awards as well a few weeks back. Nivin Pauly had won the popular actor award for his performance in Premam and Namitha Pramod had won the popular actress award for her performance in films like Chandrettan Evideya, Amar Akbar Anthony and Adi Kapyare Koottamani as well.
For her great performances over 50 years, KPSC Lalitha had won the life time achievement award this from Vanitha. Best director award went to RS Vimal for the classic film Ennu Ninte Moideen. Dileep and Mamta Mohandas got the best star pair award for her superb show in the recent blockbuster success named Two Countries. Ennu Ninte Moideen got the best film award and Premam has got the most popular film award.
Vanitha Film Awards 2016 winners list
The awards were declared after online poll and also through polls conducted through Vanitha Magazine. Malayala Manorama etc. Jaysurya and Rima Kallingal had won the special performance award for films like Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam and Rani Padmini respectively. Best screenplay award is given to Salim Ahammad for Pathemari. Best supporting actor award was given to Chemban Vinod for Oru Second class Yathra and Chralie. Best supporting actress award was given to Lena for her performance in Ennu Ninte Moideen.
Nedumudu Venu had won the best Villain award for Oru second class Yathra. Rajesh Murugan won best music director award for Premam. Jomon T john won best cinematographer award for Charlie and Ennu Ninte Moideen. Aju Varghese is chosen as the best comedian for Oru Vadakkan Selfie and Two countries as well. Vijay Yesudas won best male singer award for the song Malare and Vaikom Vijaya Lakshmi won the best female singer award for Kailkkottum Kandittilla from Oru Vadakkan Selfie.
The awards will be distributed on February 21 at a function which will be held at Greenfield Stadium, Trivandrum.
