Big budget films which may challenge records set by Pulimurugan
Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Vysakh is rewriting all box office history in Mollywood and it is marching in quick pace towards the all-time biggest box office hit status in Mollywood.
The film had now set the record for highest first day grosser in Malayalam, highest single day grosser in Kerala, highest weekend grosser, highest first week grosser, fastest 10, 20 and 25 crore grosser etc. Many more records will be broken by this film in the coming days.
Now, everybody is wondering whether any other film which is coming in the near future, has the potential to repeat the same here in Mollywood. There are some big budget projects which has the potential and hype to do it.
Lucifer
This film is at the top of that list because, Mohanlal, the man who made all these records here in Mollywood is there in it. But what makes it a big project is that, young super star Prithviraj Sukumaran is making his directorial debut through this movie. Murali Gopi is scripting it and Antony Perumbavoor will bankroll this project.
Karnan (Mammootty)
Mega Star Mammootty is also coming up with a movie based on the character named Karnan. It will be directed by Madhupal and written by P Sreekumar. This film will be a big budget film as well.
Karnan (Prithviraj)
Prithviraj–RS Vimal team’s Karnan will be an epic movie, which will be made on a budget around 300 crores. It will be made in different languages and it will be produced by Venu Kunnappilly. Major stars from many film industries will be a part of this movie as well.
Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad Movie
Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad movie is one of the much anticipated films here in Mollywood. It is in the filming stage now and will release in next year March. The first look poster of the movie had already released.
Kayamkulam Kochunni
This movie will be based on the life of epic thief Kayamakulam Kochunni and Nivin Pauly will play the lead in it. Roshen Andrews will direct this movie and it will be written by Bobby-Sanjay team.
