Reliance Jio extends free service till March 31, 2017 : Mukesh Ambani
Reliance industries chairman Mukesh Ambani today announced that the existing and new Reliance Jio users will be able to use data, voice, video and all of Jio’s applications for free until March 31, 2017.
Earlier, the free service was available only until December 31, 2016. But now with this announcement, the service is now extended from January 1 to March 31, 2017. New customers can also use the advantage of this deal from December 4.
Reliance has named this free service extension as the Jio Happy New Year offer.
Mukesh Ambani said that the customers will be able to test-drive digital recharge, billing experience, using the option Jio money wallet during this period.
Mukesh Ambani in his address said that Jio has grown faster than other global tech giants like Facebook, Skype or Whatsapp within 3 months of its official launch. In 83 days Jio has crossed more than 50 million customers
He added that Jio has also fine-tuned its overall usage policy to ensure all users get a good share of network capacity. Also, around 900 crore voice calls were blocked from Jio to the networks of its 3 largest competitors were blocked since Jio started operations.
Mukesh Ambani also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his bold and historic decision of demonetizing the higher denomination currency.
