Baahubali 2 becomes the first ever Indian movie to cross the 1000 crore mark
Indian cinema’s latest sensation Baahubali has taken the worldwide box office by storm. After shattering all pre-existing collection records for an Indian movie, Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion has become the first ever Indian movie to cross the 1000 crore mark. This is truly an historical moment in the Indian cinema arena.
Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion was released on April 28 amidst unprecedented hype thanks to the gargantuan success of the first part in the Baahubali saga, released in 2015. The sequel was released in around 9000 screens around the world with a whopping 6500 screens in India alone. It was released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed the news about Baahubali entering the 1000 crore club through his official Twitter handle. He tweeted,
“With ₹ 800+ Cr in India and ₹ 200+ Cr in Overseas, #Baahubali2 becomes the 1st Indian movie to do ₹ 1000 Cr @ WW BO..

The movie had collected Rs 735 crore in the domestic market and Rs 180 crore in the overseas market. Ramesh Bala tweeted the figures,
“#Baahubali2 8 Days WW BO (Final) #India : Nett – 580 Crs Gross – ₹735 Crs Overseas: Gross – 180 Crs Total – 915 Crs.”
The Hindi version of Baahubali alone has made around Rs 266 crores and is expected to cross the Rs 300 crore mark very soon.
This SS Rajamouli is the final part in the Baahubali saga. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Naseer essayed pivotal characters. This big budget fantasy action drama is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Works.
