At last it seems that Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan is losing his star power in the box office and that too in front of a young upcoming star in Bollywood. The latest release of Shahrukh Khan named Dilwale directed by Rohit Shetty has been getting negative reviews all over and the box office figures also not very good for them. At the same time, the film named Bajirao Mastani which has Ranvir Singh in the lead and directed by master director Sanjay Leela Bansali has been getting great reviews and they overtook Sharukh’s Dilwale in the box office war as well.
In the first 3 days of the run of both films, Dilwale has got more collection than Bajirao Mastani due to the higher number of screens it had got than Bajirao Mastani. Even though the collection is low in terms of collection records in first day the solace of Dilwale is that it had collected more than Bajirao in its first when the two released together. But Dilwale collection began to decrease from the first day and Bajirao collection began to increase. On its fourth day, Bajirao Mastani had overtook Dilwale and collected more than Dilwale.
Dilwale collected 21 crore from India in its first day and later went down to just around 10 crore in its 4th day. Baji rao Mastani had collected around 12 crore in its first day. Then it had made a leap to 15 cr and 18 cr in the second and 3rd day. On its fourth day, which is also a working day it had collected more than 10 crore which higher than Dilwale 4th day collections. The total business from India for Bajirao Mastani is around 57-58 crore now.
Dilwale had got more than Bajirao Mastani in total India gross thanks to its opening day collections which is more than the Ranvir Singh film. But it’s almost sure that Dilwale will bow down soon before Bajirao if this trend goes forward. It is a great disappointment for the fans of Sharukh Khan that his film is losing to the film of a young star.
