‘Empuraan’ Smashes Records, Crosses ₹200 Crore Worldwide in Just 5 Days

Mohanlal’s highly anticipated film Empuraan has taken the box office by storm, becoming only the second Malayalam film to cross the ₹200 crore mark worldwide after Manjummel Boys. The film achieved this milestone in just five days, setting new benchmarks for Mollywood’s global reach and commercial success. With an impressive Kerala gross of ₹53 crore in five days, the film continues to dominate the home market while rewriting records overseas.

The overseas market has played a crucial role in Empuraan’s historic run, contributing approximately ₹120 crore to its worldwide total. The film has emerged as the biggest-ever Malayalam grosser in international markets, with the Gulf region leading the charge. In just four days, Empuraan grossed ₹57 crore in the Gulf, making it the highest-earning Malayalam film in the region. The film’s extraordinary run is also evident in other key overseas markets, where it has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and across Europe.

With such phenomenal numbers and an unrelenting box office wave, Empuraan is poised to scale even greater heights. As audiences continue to flock to theaters, the film is expected to set new industry benchmarks, solidifying its place as one of the biggest Malayalam blockbusters ever.
