According to latest reports from trade sources, Rakshadikari Baiju Oppu has grossed Rs 4.7 crores from it’s seven day theatrical run in Kerala. This week, most centres in the state have opted to screen the magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion but even then the Biju Menon starrer has managed to hold steady.
Baahuabli’s release has come in as a blessing in disguise for Rakshadikari Baiju as the audience who have fail to get tickets for Baahuabli are opting to watch the Ranjan Pramod directorial.
Rakshadikari Baiju Oppu is a quality entertainer that can be enjoyed wholeheartedly with the families. It is the good old Malayalam movie kind with a feel good element.
Biju Menon plays the titular role of a government employee while Darwinte Parinamam fame Hannah Reji Koshy has played the female lead in the movie. Aju Varghese, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Kanaran, Janardhanan Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Dileesh Pothen and Alencier Ley Lopez are also part of the cast. 100th Monkey Movies Pvt Ltd have funded this movie.
