Raees inching closer to the 100 crore mark
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest outing Raees has been doing good business worldwide. The movie is all set to enter the 100 crore club. Raees would be SRK’s seventh film to make it to the elite club. This gangster drama has already raked in around Rs 93.24 crores during the weekend. The movie has set a new record for the highest ever weekend grosser with two or more releases.
Raees also registered a new record for the highest collection on Republic Day. This movie directed by Rahul Dholakia minted a whopping Rs 26.30 crores on January 26.

Day 1- Rs 20.42 crore
Day 2- Rs 26.30 crore
Day 3- Rs 13.11 crore
Day 4- Rs 15.61 crore
Day 5- Rs 17.80 crore
Raees is an emotional gangster drama featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. The talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui played a pivotal character in the movie. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan played the female lead opposite SRK. The movie was appreciated by the critics for its retro themed narrative and the power packed performance of the two lead actors, SRK and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Raees’ release clashed with Hrithik Roshan’ suspense thriller Kaabil. The movie directed by Sanjay Gupta is fast inching close to the 70 crore mark at the box-office.
