Vijay Sethupathi has multiple projects lined up and one among them is ‘Tughlaq Durbar’. He will be seen as a politician for the first time in this film. Directed by debutant Delhi Prasad Deenadayal, it is a political satire. First single from the film will be out on August 3. ‘Tughlaq Durbar’ has Sethupathi playing a character named Singam. The story revolves around the transformation of Singam from a betrayer into a good person. Aditi Rao Hydari plays the female lead in the film. Malayali actress Manjima Mohan is also essaying a crucial character. She will be seen as Vijay Sethupathi’s sister in the film. Veteran actor Parthiepan plays the antagonist’s role.

Accoring to the makers, ‘Tughlaq Durbar’ has an out-and-out mass subject. Balaji Tharaneetharan, who has directed films like ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ and ‘Seethakaathi’, has penned the dialogues. The film’s technical team has Manoj Paramahamsa as the DOP and Govind Vasantha as the music director. It is being produced jointly by 7 Screen Studio and Viacom 18.
