Premam is undoubtedly the most discussed Mollywood film this year and the most celebrated Mollywood film after Drishyam as well. Now the film has completed 100 days run here and it had cemented its place as the second biggest hit in the Malayalam film industry in its total gross collection and in the number of shows as well. But more than its success, some controversies happened around making it a hot topic in the news headlines sadly.
The first one like that was about the censor copy leak of the film which had really made some kind of a havoc in Malayalam cinema industry and related to that many other controversies were also revealed. At last police found out the culprits from the censor board office itself and thus putting rest to all other fake allegations against many people including the director of the film, Alphonse Puthren.
Then it came in to the news again with allegations from many people like Kamal and G venugopal etc who said that Premam really sets a bad model before the youngsters of the society. But there was a lot of support for the film at that time as well. Then again the issue popped up when the Onam celebrations at colleges occurred. Youngsters came to college imitating Premam model dressing style and all that resulting in some bad incidents as well which again cornered the film in the bad light as a reason of all those bad incidents.
There was some positive things as well happened for the film during this 100 days as it is almost confirmed to be remade in Telugu and Tamil. In Telugu it is confirmed that Naga Chaitanya will play the Nivin Pauly character and in Tamil discussions are still going on about who will play the lead role.
The stardom of Nivin Pauly has risen to another level with this success and he has become one of the most valuable young star in Mollywood as well. During this 100 days some happy moments happened in the life of director Alphonse Puthren as he got married and the hero Nivin Pauly won his first State Film Award for Best Actor of last year as well.
