The 62 Film fare awards in South India is all set to be declared soon and the grand function of declaring and giving away the awards will take place without much delay from now. Film fare is the most prestigious film awards in South India and all are waiting for the announcement of it. And for us what is more important is the awards for our Mollywood. This time there will be a star war in the nomination list itself and it is going to be a great one.
The Best actor from mollywood category had 5 nominations and the nominees are Nivin Pauly for 1983, Mammootty for Varsham, Biju Menon for Vellimoonga, Suresh Gopi for Apothecary and Dulquer Salmaan for Njan. It is Mmmootty vs Dulquer is the most interedting battle for awards as you all know it will be a battle between the father and son. The competition gets more attention on it from the medias as it is happening just after the controversy triggered by Ram Gopal Varma who said that Mammootty is not as good an actor compared to his son Dulquer and medias now-a-days refer to this issue as ‘Junior Artist Issue’ as Ram Gopal Varma said that Mammootty is just like a junior artist in front his son’s talent and skill.

Rosshan Andrrews for How Old Are You, Venu for Munnariyippu, female director Anjali Menon for Bangalore Days, debutant Abrid Shine for 1983, and Ranjith for Njan are the nominees for best director. Best actress nomination list has Nazriya Nazim for Om Shanti Oshana, Anusree for Ithihasa, Manju Warrier for How old are you, Drishyam fame Asha Sharath for Varsham and ABCD fame Aparnna Gopinath for Munnariyippu.
Jayasurya included in the nominees for best supporting actor for Appothecary along with Anoop menon for Vikramaduthyan, Siddique for Sopanam, Lal for Iyyobinte Pusthakam and Fahad Fazil for Bangalore days. Muthumani, Parvathi, Lena, Sajitha Madathil, Sethu Lakshmi etc are the nominees for best female actor in supporting roles. The best music director nominees are Shan Rahman for Om Shanti Oshana, Sreevalsan J Menon for Swapaanam, national award winner Gopi Sundar for Bangalore Days, Bijipal for Vikramadithyan and Neha Nair, Yakzan Pereira for Iyobinthe Pusthakam.
