Aanandam enters 25th day in theatres
Aanandam, a tale of travel and friendship of a group of youngsters was welcomed with both hands by the Malayali audience. The film received good appreciation from critics and the audience alike. Aanandam is succesfully entering the 25th day of its theatrical run today.
Directed by debutant Ganesh Raj, the movie had seven new comers playing the lead roles. The movie focusses on a four day Industrial Visit trip of a group of students from an engineering college.
The film has been getting good word of mouth from the audience especially the youngsters who could easily relate themselves to the characters in the movie. After getting a relatively smaller release, Aanandam expanded to more theatres after the good initial response.
Aanandam is releasing overseas, in United States and Canada on November 10th. Outside Kerala, it is still running in places like Bangalore, Mangalore, Manipal, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune and Gujarat.
Often called as the all-rounder of Malayalam cinema, Vineeth Sreenivasan entered production through Aanandam. He bankrolled the movie along with Vinod Shornur under their banners Habit of Life and Cast n Crew.
Aanandam was a youthful movie in every aspect. Many crew members were youngsters who had just entered the film industry. Playback singer turned music director Sachin Warrier made his debut as a composer through this movie.
The youthfulness and freshness associated with this movie is one the major reason behind such a big success. It is very welcoming that a movie with no big stars is doing well in theatres.
Let’s hope that Aanandam can continue its successful run in the coming days.
