Abrahaminte Santhathikal first look most likely to be unveiled on Vishu Day!
Abrahaminte Santhathikal is one of Mammootty’s most awaited movies coming up this year. Shaji Padoor, a veteran associate director who has been in the industry for over two decades, is making his directorial debut with this movie. Haneef Adeni of ‘The Great Father’ fame is scripting this movie touted to be a cop action thriller. Shoot for the movie has already been wrapped up and the team is currently busy with the post-production works.
Latest buzz in social medias is that the much awaited first look poster of Abrahaminte Santhathikal will be released on Vishu Day (April 14). The news is yet to be confirmed by the makers, but if turns out to be true it will be the perfect Vishu gift for the megastar’s scores of fans.
Abrahaminte Santhathikal has Mammootty playing the role of a police assistant superintendent Derick Abraham. The movie promises to be a stylish one, on the lines of ‘The Great Father’. Anson Paul, noted for his roles in Solo, Aadu 2 and Oozham, will be seen as Mammootty’s brother in the movie.
Kaniha, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajon and newbie Maria John are part of the movie’s supporting cast. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Alby Antony, composer Gopi Sunder and editor Mahesh Narayanan, who turned a director last year with the widely acclaimed ‘Take Off’.
Recently, the satellite rights of the movie was bagged by Surya TV for a huge amount. The exact amount has yet not been disclosed but it is said to be one of the highest ever for a Mammootty starrer. Joby George is funding Abrahaminte Santhathikal under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Mammootty’s latest release Parole is doing fairly well at the box office. The movie directed by Sharrath Sandith is an intense family drama in which Mammootty plays the role of a do-gooder comrade. Even though the movie opened to mixed reviews from the critics, its timely release during the holiday season is proving to be commercially beneficial.
