After Soorarai Pottru, Suriya to do yet another biopic!
Suriya’s next release is the much-awaited ‘Soorarai Pottru’. The film directed by Sudha Kongara is loosely based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan and a retired captain of the Indian army. Suriya’s character in the film Nedumaaran Rajangam is inspired from the life of Gopinath, who started his journey from a rural background and later went on to own an aircraft business.
After ‘Soorari Pottru’, Suriya is likely to do yet another biopic. Kollywood medias report that ‘Kootathil Oruthan’ director TJ Gnanavel had recently met Suriya and narrated him a subject which is based on real incidents happened to the Irular tribal community in Tamil Nadu. Apparently, the star has been impressed by it and has asked the Gnanavel to work on the full fledged screenplay.
If everything goes well, Suriya will be acting in it after the completion of his already committed films. Suriya’s next to go on floors is ‘Aruva’ with director Hari. The film’s shoot was scheduled to begin in April but all plans have has now been put on hold due to the Corona virus outbreak. After wrapping up ‘Aruva’, Suriya will be working with Siva for a rural-based mass entertainer. The star has also signed for a film titled ‘Vaadivasal’ with director Vetrimaaran.
