Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan were not written for me : Nadirshah
Nadirshah became a popular face among Malayalis after his various comedy and mimicry shows. He forayed into film industry through the multi starrer Amar Akbar Anthony (AAA) featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya in the lead. The movie was a huge blockbuster that set the cash registers ringing in the box office.
His debut movie, AAA was a typical commercial entertainer with a humorous first half that later shifts into a serious mood while discussing an intimidating issue that the society is facing these days.
His second movie, Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan was released recently with a comparatively lesser known star cast. Another comedy entertainer, the movie has already emerged successful in the box office.
In a recent interview, Nadirshah has said that both these movies were not initially planned for him. The director who was earlier set to do these movies, did not like the final drafts so I took up these projects, said Nadirshah.
Similarly another popular actor was initially set to do the lead role in Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, but he turned down the offer. Scriptwriter of the movie Vishnu Unnikrishnan approached Nadirshah who suggested that the script itself is the hero and that Vishnu should play the lead role in the movie.
This decision to cast Vishnu in the main lead in Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan proved fruitful as the auidence welcomed the movie with open arms. The performances of Salim Kumar and Dharmajan Bolgatty are the other major assets of the movie.
Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan has entered its 4th week of successful theatrical run. This movie was produced by actor Dileep and Dr Zachariah Thomas under the banner Nad Group and United Global Media.
