Andrea Jeremiah to play the female lead in Thoppil Joppan opposite Mammootty
Johny Antony directorial film with Mammootty in the lead, titled as Thoppil Joppan has begun its filming at Kochi. As per reports Kollywood actress Andrea Jeremiah has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Mammootty in this film. Earlier Amala Paul said to be playing the female lead but some date clashes prompted her to pull out of this film.
There are reports that there will be another heroine as well in this film and the name of Deepthi Sathi is doing the rounds in social media in that role. Andrea Jeremiah had played the female lead in Renjith’s Mohanlal film Loham last year and she had done a good job in that film along with Mohanlal.
She had earlier played the female lead opposite actors like Prithviraj and Fahad Fazil as well in Malayalam. In this Johny Antony film, Mammootty plays the character of a Kottayam Native who own a Kabadi team of his own. Nishad Koya, who had written the screenplay of last year success named Madhura Naranga, is penned down the screenplay of this movie. Apart from Kochi, the film will be shot in Kottayam, Pala, Thodupuzha etc as well.
Harisree Ashokan, Salim Kumar, Saju Navodaya, Sreejith Ravi, Alencier etc playing the other important characters in this movie.
