Anyone who buys a ticket out of his hard earned money has the right to comment on a movie: Prithviraj
In the current scenario, social medias play a major role in defining the success of a movie. Several movies in the past have turned into hits solely because of social media promotions. Similarly there are also movies that have faced the wrath of social medias and ended up as disasters.
Celebrities and industry insiders have often criticized the online reviewers for pointing out flaws in a movie without any technical knowledge or without any prior experience in film making.
Recently, Prithviraj in an interview was asked about his opinion about online reviewers, Prithviraj said, “Anyone who buys a ticket paying his hard earned money has the right to comment on the movie. Just like a professional reviewer or a media person, any other normal viewer has the same right to express his opinions about the movie.”
This statement from Prithviraj shows how well he respects the audience and their opinions. As he says during the interview, Malayali audience have a wide knowledge about cinema and the various aspects in filmmaking. So the makers today have more pressure on them to deliver their proudct before such a highly critical society. But in the long run, it is only beneficial for the industry as only good movies will taste success and that too irrespective of the label of any popular director or production house.
