Arijit Singh rates Cherathukal from Kumbalangi Nights as a masterpiece!
The love for Malayalam film ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ keeps pouring in. It’s been over a year since its theatrical release but that hasn’t stopped the film from finding new admirers, particularly non-Malayalis. Recently, Bollywood actress Ansuhka Sharma got to watch the film and shared in her social media handle about how she was highly impressed by it.
One of India’s leading playback singers Arijit Singh has now rated the song ‘Cherathukal’ from ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ as a masterpiece. Singh shared the song in his Facebook handle and captioned it as a ‘masterpiece’. The track is composed by Sushin Shyam and sung by Sithara. Anwar Ali has penned the lyrics. It is a lullaby like song that captures the true essence of the film. Sushin’s soulful composition and Sithara’s delightful rendition makes it a truly heartwarming song. The latter has also thanked Arijit Singh.
‘Kumbalangi Nights’ directed by Madhu C Narayanan is a family-drama revolving around two contrasting families. Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shane Nigam, Fahadh Faasil, Anna Ben, Grace Antony and Mathew Thomas play the major roles. Scripted by Syam Pushkaran, it is a film that broke multiple stereotypes about what constitutes an ideal family.
