Aruva: Suriya-Hari film to be a mix of Vel and Kadaikutty Singam
Suriya is set to start shooting for ‘Aruva’, his new film with director Hari. It marks the duo’s sixth outing together after collaborating in ‘Vel’, ‘Aaru’ and the three-part ‘Singam’ franchise. KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is producing the film. In a recent interview, the producer revealed that ‘Aruva’ is a rural mass entertainer that will be high on family emotions.
According to him, ‘Aruva’ will be the typical Hari style film but more subtle when compared to his recent ones. It will be a mix of his own ‘Vel’ and the Karthi starrer ‘Kadaikutty Singam’. Similar to some of the director’s earlier films, ‘Aruva’ will focus on the relationship between family members – this time between brothers.
Rashmika Mandanna is in talks to play the female lead. Details regarding other cast members will be announced shortly. D Imman has been signed as the music director. Shoot is scheduled to begin in April and the film will be hitting screens for this year’s Diwali in November.
