Asif Ali getting appreciation for his excellent performance in Uyare
Debutant director Manu Ashokan’s ‘Uyare’ starring Parvathy, Asif Ali and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles had hit screens last day. Bobby and Sanjay have scripted the film. Three new producers Shenuga.Shegna and Sherga are backing it under the banner of S Cube Films.
‘Uyare’ has opened to unanimously positive response, both from the critics and the common audience. Positive reviews are pouring in on all social media platforms. ‘Uyare’ is basically the story of an acid attack survivor, but it has some very interesting characters and progressive politics.
While Parvathy’s performance, as expected, is getting widespread appreciation, another actor who is getting his deserving credit is Asif Ali. The actor is often called as the ‘angry young man of Mollywood’ for his penhant for doing such roles. Govind, his character in ‘Uyare’, also looks like one from the same moulid but is more complex and layered, which is a product of skilled writing.
Govind is someone who is highly possessive and carries a lot of insecurities. He is grey shaded and keeps switches his moods. It is not easy to play such a character who is not very likeable. Asif Ali has ensured that the role was safe in his hands. Several critics have pointed out his performance and praised him.
Among the other actors, Tovino Thomas and Siddique get meaty roles to play and they prove their worth. In a nutshell, ‘Uyare’ is an empowering film with plenty of emotions and excellent performances. Positive talk in social medias is expected to work in the movie’s favour by pulling in more audience to theatres.
