Malayalam cinema is abuzz with speculation that Asif Ali might collaborate with director Nissam Basheer and writer Sameer Abdul for a new film. Though unconfirmed, industry insiders hint that the trio is in discussions for a project that could materialize soon. Nissam Basheer, who is currently gearing up for Nobody—a high-octane action thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and penned by Sameer Abdul—is expected to kickstart this new venture after wrapping up his ongoing commitments.

Nissam Basheer made his directorial debut with the gripping thriller Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha (2019), which won critical acclaim for its nuanced portrayal of relationships. His second film, Rorschach (2022), starring Mammootty, was a psychological thriller that further established him as a filmmaker with a distinct vision. Meanwhile, Sameer Abdul, known for crafting intense narratives, has written films like Adventures of Omanakuttan (2017) and Iblis (2018), showcasing his versatility across different genres. His latest work, Nobody, is set to go on floors this summer with Prithviraj in the lead.

Asif Ali, one of the most versatile actors in Mollywood, has a packed schedule. He is currently filming Mirage with Jeethu Joseph, followed by Tiki Taka with Rohit VS, and an ambitious period drama helmed by Helen director Mathukutty Xavier, where he will share screen space with Kunchacko Boban. Additionally, he has plans to reunite with director Vinay Govind. His next releases include Sarkeet and Abhyanthara Kuttavali, further proving his commitment to diverse roles. If the rumors about his collaboration with Nissam Basheer and Sameer Abdul turn out to be true, fans can expect yet another intriguing addition to his impressive filmography.
