Asif Ali to star in Ajai Vasudev’s next after Shylock
After the superhit success of ‘Shylock’, director Ajai Vasudev is teaming up with Asif Ali next. The film has been titled as ‘Nalaam Thoon’ and its launch event was held last day at Kochi. Tovino Thomas, Joshiy, Joby George, Jis Joy, Sreekandan Nair and many others were present for the launch. Gokulam Gopalan is producing the film under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.
‘Nalaam Thoonu’ is Ajai Vasudev’s fourth directorial venture. Interestingly, his other three films — ‘Rajadhiraja’, ‘Masterpiece’ and ‘Shylock’ were all with Mammootty. Along with Asif Ali, his new film also has Suraj Venjaramoodu in a major role. S Suresh Babu is scripting the film.
For ‘Nalaam Thoonu’, Ajai Vasudev has retained almost the same set of technicians from ‘Shylock’. Music director Gopi Sunder, cinematographer Renadive, editor Riyas K Badhar form the core team. More details regarding the film’s genre, supporting cast and when shoot begins are expected to be announced in the coming days.
