Baahubali 2 becomes the highest grossing Indian movie ever
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the second and final installment in the popular Baahubali series is creative waves at the domestic and overseas box office. The movie, released on April 28 smashed several box office records. Recent, it became the fastest Indian movie to cross the 500 crore mark.
Now according to latest reports from trade analysts, the SS Rajamouli directorial has amassed as much as Rs 792 crore worldwide and has surpassed the lifetime collection of PK. By toppling Aamir Khan’s PK, Baahuabli 2 is currently the highest grossing Indian movie ever.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was released on April 28 simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. It was released in over 9000 theatres worldwide and opened to phenomenal response. The movie’s Hindi version alone has collected Rs 375 crore in 6 days.
Releasing in around 6500 theatres in India, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion earned Rs 121 crore on its opening day, which is also the highest ever opening for any movie in the country.
