Casting call for Manju Warrier’s next
Manju Warrier in her second innings has been part of many superhit movies. Most of her characters have much significance to the plot rather than the usual glam doll roles that some of her colleagues do. Recently, she has bagged some plum roles like the titular role in director Kamal’s dream project Aami. Manju will be playing revolutionary writer Madhavikutty in the movie.
This year, she is again sharing screen space with superstar Mohanlal. She will be seen as Mohanlal’s wife in the upcoming crime thriller Villain, directed by B Unnikrishnan. Manju recently has also signed to play the lead in Charlie director Martin Prakkat and actor Joju George’s upcoming production.
Manju shared the news with her followers in her official Facebook page. Her post reads,
“I am excited to work with the young director Martin Prakkat’s and Joju’s George upcoming production after their superhit movie Charlie. We are also on the lookout for young girls and boys who would be playing the main roles along with me.”
The director’s name and title or other details have not yet been revealed. A casting call for the movie was posted along with Manju’s post. The team are looking for boys and girls between the age group of 13-15. Those interested can send their photographs and details to castingthescene@gmail.com
Manju Warrier’s immediate release is C/O Saira Banu, directed by debutant Antony Sony. She is playing the title role of a post woman in the movie. Kismath fame Shane Nigam and yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni will also be seen in major roles. Eros International is funding C/O Saira Banu which is scheduled to hit screens on March 17.
