Check out this second look poster of Kaala released on Rajinikanth’s 67th birthday!
Today is 12/12 and as we all know Rajinikanth is celebrating his birthday today. The superstar is turning 67 and social medias are abuzz with birthday wishes from all parts of the world. The makers of his upcoming movie Kaala have released the second look poster exactly at 12 AM to celebrate Thalaivar’s birthday.
Rajinikanth looks terrific and all intense in this latest poster. His son-in-law actor Dhanush released the poster through his official social media handle. Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films is producing this movie in association with Lyca Productions.
Kaala is a gangster flick based in the Mumbai underworld. The movie marks his reunion with director Pa Ranjith after Kabali, which was released last year. Unlike Kabali, Kaala promsies to be a proper gangster flick. It is about a guy from Tamil Nadu who runs away in his childhood to Mumbai to become a powerful don living in the slums. Rajinikanth plays Kaala, a don who heads the Tamil community in Dharavi.
The movie has a strong supporting cast which includes several noted North Indian actors in the cast. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is playing the female lead, but she is not paired opposite Rajinikanth. Multiple national award winner Nana Patekar is playing a prominent role in the film. Jackie Shroff, Pankaj Tripathi, Anjali Patil, Sayaji Shinde, Sakshi Agarwal, Samuthirakani, Sukanya, Ramesh Thilak and Sampath Raj are also part of the supporting cast.
Most of the technical crew of Pa Ranjith’s Kabali have been retained for Kaala as well. Only Sreekar Prasad, the veteran editor has replaced Praveen KL to handle the cuts. Pa Ranjith’s regular Santhosh Narayanan is in charge of the music department.
The makers are planning to dub and release the movie in Hindi and Telugu as well. Kaala is scheduled to release on April 14 next year.
