Company is the 2002 Bollywood film directed by master director Ram Gopal Varma and it was one of the highest-grossing film of that year as well. The film has got great critical appreciation as well and considered as one of the best films ever made in Bollywood cinema history. The film had Mollywood super star Mohanlal, Bollywood star Ajay Devgun and Vivek Oberoi played the lead roles along with artists like Maneesh Koirala as well. It was Vivek Oberoi’s debut film as well and he got good appreciation for his work in that film. Now, he revealed to media that a sequel to Company is on its way as the director Ram Gopal Varma is started the paper work of the film.
Vivek Oberoi said that after he completes the home production of his which now he is doing, he will join the film Company 2. He said that it is exciting to work with the director who knows him well as a person and actor and also the one who always given him superb characters. But the million dollar question is that whether Mohanlal will be playing the character of IPS officer Sreenivasan in this film as well.
Because, the character which got the biggest appreciation in Company was that of Mohanlal and it was regarded as one of the finest ever performance by an Indian Actor. Mohanlal had got IIFA and Star screen awards for his performance in the film and also considered for the national awards as well. As per reports that coming in, Mohanlal may agree to play the pivotal role in the sequel of Company as well. But nothing is not yet confirmed about his participation. Because Mohanlal had a lot of project to complete and for almost 3 years from now, he had no dates as projects are flooding for him. So, he will decide to act in Company 2, if the script is so much exciting like the first part.
Company had screened in many international film festivals as well and got appreciation from British directors like Danny Boyle as well as he said Company gives him the inspiration along with some other films of RGV, before he went on to make Slumdog Millionaire.
