Confirmed: B Unnikrishnan’s next is with Mohanlal
Director B Unnikrishnan’s latest film, ‘Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel’ hit screens last day. The movie starring Dileep in the lead has opened to pretty good response from the audience. Though the critic reviews have been mixed, theatre response suggests that common audience have lapped up the movie. The movie which belongs to a suspense drama cum thriller genre with comedy elements, is a slightly different attempt from the director, who is well known for his penchant for making crime thrillers.
In a recent interview, B Unnikrishnan confirmed that his next film be with Mohanlal, with whom he has earlier worked together in ‘Madampi’, ‘Grandmaster’, ‘Villain’ and ‘Mr Fraud’. It remains to be seen if their new film will be a thriller or will they be attempting a new genre. Since Mohanlal is busy with multiple projects, it is not yet known when his film with Unnikrishnan will go on floors.
Mohanlal is currently shooting for ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’. He recently finished his portions for ‘Kaappaan’, the upcoming Tamil film which also stars Suriya in the lead. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’. ‘Big Brother’ with director Siddique, ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ with director duo Jibi-Joju and an untitled film with Arun Gopy are his other projects in the pipeline. Mohanlal’s next release will be the Prithviraj directorial ‘Lucifer’, which is scheduled to hit screens by March end.
