Confirmed: Vijay Sethupathi to play the antagonist in Allu Arjun’s next
Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi, popularly called as ‘Makkal Selvan’, is celebrating his birthday today. Fans, well wishers and colleagues have been wishing the star through social medias. Meanwhile, here comes a big news. It has just been confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist opposite Telugu superstar Allu Arjun in his next film. Hit maker Sukumar is directing the film, which is yet to be titled. Rashmika Mandanna has been signed as the female lead.
Tentatively titled as ‘Allu Arjun 20’, the film marks Allu’s reunion with Sukumar after ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2’. The huge success of these two films made Allu a household name in the South. When the actor-director duo reunite for a third time, expectations will naturally be on the higher side. With Vijay Sethupathi also joining the cast, the hype has just skyrocketed. Mythiri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film.
Of late, Vijay Sethupathi has been open to take up character roles in other language films. He has already acted in a couple of Telugu films. He also impressed everyone by playing a negative role in the Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’. Besides that, he is also playing the villain role in Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Master’. It will be interesting to see how his face off with a charismatic star like Allu Arjun turns out on screen.
