Cinema is a medium which takes the stories from lives around, sometimes present it with 100% originality and most of the times exaggerates to make it more entertaining. But Cinema and people from the film industry always there for the common people with their help and eye opening creative works. The cast and Crew behind one such upcoming Mollywood film named ‘My God’ is planning such a social welfare program.
They are organizing a painting contest for children of different age groups in association with Kairali Books and Winwin group. The contest will be conducted state-wide for Lkg , Ukg, Lp, UP, high school, plus two students and the pictures chosen from the lot will be there for an exhibition at Kannur town Square at the kairali books-winwin group food festival. The money obtained from the selling of that paintings will be given to the Malabar cancer center fund for the treatment of financially poor patients. The entries for the contest will have to be sent to the address kairali books, Thaalikkavu Kannur-1 and also to the email address kairalibooksknr@gmail.com before March 31.
Contestants should attain and enclose the letter from the school principal as a proof for their eligibility. One contestant can send only one painting. The prize should be distributed at the day of exhibition. Along with the exhibition there will be a food festival, classes on great foods, leadership quality and also a book festival for children. My God is directed by M Mohanan and the cast list includes Suresh Gopi, Honey Rose, Sreenivasan, Joy Mathew etc. Jithu Damodar is the DOP of the film and Bijipal is the music director. The movie is financing by Mahi Puthusserry and Shyna K V.
The story of the film revolves around the teenager Sam Thottunkal, the son of Thomas Scaria and Zareena who is an introvert even Though he has all for a happy life. His parents ‘s attitude is that what makes him like that and on the course of his life he happens to get in touch with Adiraja Bhattadirippad, the CEO of an IT company, his wife Arya, who is a child psychologist, and the parish priest named Father Vadakken and the film narrates the events after that.
