Dileep plays an advocate with a stuttering problem in ‘Neethi’
We were among the first to report about Dileep teaming up with director B Unnikrishnan for his next. The movie titled as ‘Neethi’ went on floors recently in Ernakulam. Shoot commenced without much publicity before the producers announced the title last day. Bollywood production giant Viacom 18 Motion Pictures is making their entry to Malayalam industry by producing this movie.
Lately, Dileep has been part of some serious films as opposed to the fun entertainers that he is popular for among the masses. Neethi scripted by B Unnikrishnan also promises to be one such film. The movie has Dileep playing the role of an advocate, who as a stuttering problem. It is said to be a very challenging character and we can expect to see a sincere performance from the actor.
Mamta Mohandas and Priya Anand have been signed as the female leads. The movie reportedly has one more heroine, but the casting has not yet been finalized. This is Mamta’s fifth film with Dileep after sharing screen space with him in Passenger, Arike, My Boss and Two Countries. Priya Anand, who made her Malayalam debut with Ezra, has Kayamkulam Kochunni gearing up for release. If reports are to be believed, both Mamta and Priya have prominent roles to play in this upcoming Dileep starrer.
Neethi marks the first time association of Dileep with director B Unnikrishnan, so it will be interesting to see how their rapport works. As per trustworthy reports, the makers are planning to wrap up the entire shoot in a single schedule. They are planning to release the movie for this year’s Christmas.
