Drishyam to be dubbed in Chinese
Mohanlal’s Drishyam is one of the biggest ever blockbusters in Malayalam cinema. The Jeethu Joseph directorial was released in 2013 and it emerged as the highest grossing Malayalam movie of that time. After successful remakes in Tamil, Telugu, Kananda and Hindi, the movie is now getting a Chinese version.
Drishyam is a family drama cum thriller in which Mohanlal played the role of Georgekutty and Meena played his wife’s role Rani. At a particular point, the family has to face a situation that can ruin all their lives. How the family get themselves out of it forms the crux of the story.
Now, as per reports, producer Antony Perumbavoor is planning to dub the movie in Chinese. Presently, Indian movies are having a great market in China. Aamir Khan’s Dangal is doing phenomenal business in the country raking in over Rs 1200 crores from the Chinese box office. Will Drishyam appeal to the Chinese audience? Let’s wait and see.
