Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup set for worldwide theatrical release in November
Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kurup’ is easily among the most awaited Malayalam films in recent years. It has been nearly a year since the film’s release has been in a state of uncertainty. Even though there were widespread speculations about the film going the OTT way, the makers had maintained throughout that they are eyeing a theatre release.
With cinema halls reopening in Kerala from October 25, it seems like all the hurdles are being cleared for ‘Kurup’ release. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai has tweeted that the film is confirmed to have a worldwide theatrical release in November. According to him, tentative theatre bookings have started in Kerala through Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.
Sreedhar Pillai’s tweet reads,

‘Kurup’ directed by Srinath Rajendran is based on the real life criminal Sukumara Kurup. Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko and many others are part of the film’s cast.
