Expectations soaring high for Nivin Pauly-Mohanlal starrer Kayamkulam Kochunni
Kayamkulam Kochunni is the current talk of the town in Mollywood. The movie directed by Roshan Andrews stars Nivin Pauly as Kochunni while Mohanlal plays an extended cameo role as Ithikkara Pakki. The movie’s location stills have been ruling social medias for the past one week.
To further add to the hype, the makers have released some more photos today featuring both Mohanlal and Nivin. Within a matter of few minutes, these newly released picture have gone viral. Courtesy these stunning new photos, expectations have gone sky-high among the audience.
If the location stills are anything to go by, Kayamkulam Kochunni promises to be an absolute treat for fans of both the actors. It is not often that two big stars like Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly come together for such a high profile project. Fans, critics as well as the industry insiders are eagerly looking forward to the release of Kayamkulam Kochunni.
Scripted by the National award winning duo Bobby-Sanjay, the movie is based on the life of legendary highwayman Kochunni, who was active in 19th century in the Travancore region. Prior to the shoot, Nivin Pauly had trained hard to get himself ready to play the role of the legendary thief, Kochunni. The actor shed a lot of extra pounds along with training in horse riding, Kalarippaytu and basics in other martial arts.
As per the makers, Mohanlal as Ithikara Pakki makes his appearance at a very crucial juncture in the story and has around 40 minutes screen time. His newly trimmed physique would certainly help him in performing the action sequences effortlessly. The combination scenes between Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly would easily be the movie’s major highlight.
Kayamkulam Kochunni also stars Priya Anand, Sunny Wayne, Babu Antony and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh. The technical team also boasts of some big wigs like Bollywood cinematographer Binod Pradhan, National award winning sound designer PM Satheesh and Firefly Creative Studio, who handled the VFX in films like Baahubali and Enthiran. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.
