Fahadh Faasil picks his 5 favourite performances from Malayalam cinema!
In today’s times of OTTs, Fahadh Faasil is regarded as the poster boy of new gen Malayalam cinema among non-Keralites. Of late, almost several of his films have got tremendous reception and he enjoys a separate fan base among non-Malayali cinephiles. However, the actor didn’t get it all served easily. He had to go through the tough path as he worked hard to make his way up.
In a recent interview, Fahadh was asked to pick his 5 favorite performances from Malayalam. He made some interesting choices like Mohanlal and Thilakan from ‘Kireedam’, Mammootty from ‘New Delhi’ and ‘Thaniyavarthanam’ and Nedumudi Venu from ‘Dhanam’.
Fahadh also opened up about how he is greatly influenced by the Malayalam cinema of 80s. He is inspired by the works of Padmarajan and Bharathan and finds the actors in their films way ahead of their times. While talking about the legendary Thilakan, Fahadh said that he still has no idea about his style of acting — whether he emoted for people watching the screen or for the lenses.
