Fahadh Faasil to play a corrupt police officer in Pushpa!
Fahadh Faasil is making his Telugu debut by playing the villain role in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’. Directed by Sukumar, it is an action-packed entertainer planned on a big scale. It is said that the film revolves around the smuggling of red sanders in the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border.
While Allu Arjun plays a lorry driver, Fahadh is said to be essaying the role of a corrupt police officer. The clash between the two stars is expected to be one of the film’s major highlight. Initially, Vijay Sethupathi was signed for the antagonist’s role but he later opted out due to date issues. Fahadh has shot for only a very few days as the team had to stop works due to the second wave of pandemic.
Though ‘Pushpa’ was originally planned as a regular single-part film, the makers have now decided to extend it. It is learnt that the team is planning to release the film in two parts as they believe the script has such high potential. As per reports, ‘Pushpa: Part 1’ will be released either in October or mid-December and the second part might start rolling by next summer.
