An official announcement is most likely to be made in April. Ishari Ganesh of Vels International will be producing the film.
‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ released in 2006 is till date one of the finest cop films to have been made in Tamil cinema. Gautham Menon’s extremely stylish making reminiscent of the Hollywood investigative thrillers and Kamal Haasan’s brilliant performance as DCP Raghavan made the film stand out from the regular cop films. In the sequel, Kamal will be reprising Raghavan’s role. It remains to be seen if Jyothika, the female lead in the first part, will also be retained. Anushka Shetty is also said to be in talks for the new film.
