Gautham Menon plans to make sequels to Kaakka Kaakka, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Yennai Arindhaal
As we all know, Gautham Menon is a very ambitious filmmaker. He is full of ideas and wishes to explore all possible aspects of filmmaking. He has two of his films gearing up for release this year – Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta with Dhanush. In between that, he recently made a music video and is currently working on a series of songs. Besides that he is also funding web series and independent films under his banner Ondraga Entertainment.
On the film front, Gautham Menon is also in talks for multiple projects. He recently revealed that his next movie will be Ondraga, the multi-starrer that has been in the planning for a long time now. The movie will have a leading star from each of the four South Indian industries. It is a movie based on friendship set in the US. The movie is expected to go on floors sometime by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, the director recently made an interesting revelation. Apparently, he is planning to make sequels to his all three cop movies – Kaakka Kaakka, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu and Yennai Arindhaal. Popularly known as GVM’s cop trilogy, all these movies had different stories but was primarily about a daredevil cop and his life experiences. All the three movies were successful, critically as well as commercially. So, it will be an uphill task for the director to recreate the magic if at all he manages to convince the actors for doing sequels.
Currently, Gautham Menon is busy with the post production of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta (ENPT). It is a romantic thriller starring Dhanush and Megha Akash. Upon the completion of ENPT, he will be resuming the final schedule of Dhruva Natchathiram, a spy-thriller with Vikram. Let’s hope the director completes all his pending projects before moving on to other assignments.
