Getting an opportunity to act with Mammootty feels like winning a lottery: Gayathri Arun
Gayathri Arun is a household name among the Malayali family audience thanks to the mega serial ‘Parasparam’ that was aired continuously for five years from 2013-2018. She played the lead character named Deepthi IPS and her performance in it was praiseworthy. She will be next seen playing a prominent role in the upcoming Mammootty starrer ‘One’.
Though Gayathri has previously acted in films like ‘Sarvopari Paalakaran’, ‘Orma’ and ‘Thrissur Pooram’, she feels that ‘One’ is her debut film. According to her, getting an opportunity to alongside Mammootty itself is like winning a lottery. Gayathri landed in the film unexpectedly after production controller Badhushah called and offered her the role. It is her performance in the TV serial that paved way to ‘One’.
Mammootty plays the role of Kerala’s Chief Minister in the film. Gayathri will be seen in a throughout role as Seena, who works in a private firm. It is a bold character and the actress has pinned high hopes on the film. Though ‘One’ is primarily a political thriller, it also has a family story in it. National award winners Bobby-Sanjay have scripted the film and it is directed by Santhosh Viswanathan.
‘One’ has the presence of a huge supporting cast. Joju George, Murali Gopy, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna, Shanker Ramakrishnan, Alencier Ley Lopez, Mammukoya, Siddique, Balachandra Menon, Salim Kumar, Madhu, Ranjith, Mathew Thomas, Ishaani Krishna, Jayan Cherthala, Balaji Sharma and many others are part of the film.
