Here’s the Tamil poster of Mammootty’s Street Lights
We had already reported about Mammootty playing the lead in cinematographer Shamdat’s directorial debut Street Lights. The movie is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. Following the release of Street Lights’ Malayalam posters, the makers have also released the first look posters of the Tamil version.
Unlike most bilinguals, Street Lights was shot separately in both languages with different set of actors. The Malayalam version stars Joy Mathew, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Neena Kurup, Lijomol Jose, Sohan Seenulal, Indrans, Sudhi Koppa and Harish Kanaran. Manobala, Black Pandi, Motta Rajendran and some other noted supporting actors feature in the Tamil version. The movie doesn’t have a heroine as such, as it is a tale of many characters.
From the first look posters, Street Lights looks like an action packed treat is in store for the fans. The movie is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. Scripted by newcomer Fawaz Muhammed, Street Lights is a crime thriller featuring Mammootty in the role of an investigation officer.
The movie is funded by Mammootty’s own production house Playhouse Pictures. Iyobinte Pusthakam fame Yakzan Pereira and Neha Nair are handling the background score and debutant Adarsh Abraham has composed the songs. Director Shamdat’s brother Sadat Sainudeen has cranked the camera.
Shamdat is a renowned cameraman who was worked in all four South Indian languages. Some of his notable works include Ritu, Seniors, Uttama Villain. He is also the DOP in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming magnum opus Vishwaroopam 2.
Shoot for Streetlights has already been completed and Mammootty has also finished dubbing for his portions. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to made very soon.
