Ennu Ninte Moideen helmed RS Vimal and starred by Prithviraj and Parvathy Menon was moving to one the biggest success of Malayalam cinema history. The flick had already crossed 20 crore mark in box office within four weeks of its running. It has been also in the news for getting selection at IFFK and later withdrawing from the festival. Now the film again in limelight due to a comment by its director RS VImal when he said that if this film Ennu Ninte Moideen, which was his debut film as a director, had become a failure, then there is all the chances that he may have committed suicide.
RS Vimal said that he always wanted to make a romantic film which will remain in the heart of the viewers forever and a film with romantic characters who cannot be forget by anyone who watches the film. That search really made him to reach to the life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala. RS VImal was working in Jai Hind channel as program producer and he resigned his job for JO making this film. He had spent 6 years behind this film.
When he resigned his job he had to go through hard times and had to bear a lot of criticism as well. But at that time his heart said to him that one day whoever is criticizing him will come to him with appreciation. He said that he had to suffer insult from family and friends as well. His wife has a job and that is why he not had to stay hungry during this period.
RS Vimal said that it was the meeting with BP Rasheed, the brother of Moideen that had turned his life as the story of Moideen and Kanchanamala narrated by him was really made him spellbound. Vimal said that no other real life story of a better sacrifice for love had heard by him till that moment. From there all works behind the project had started.Vimal said that there has been a lot of troubles came while shooting and at that time he made a decision in mind that he will commit suicide if the film is not received well by the audience. Now all is well for Vimal and the flick will be soon remade in Tamil and Karthi will play the lead role.
