It’s a wrap for Madura Raja after 116 days of shoot
Mammootty’s Madura Raja is unarguably one of the most awaited movies of the year. The Vysakh directorial has megastar Mammootty reprising his character from the 2010 blockbuster film, ‘Pokkiri Raja’. Udhayakrishna, who wrote the original along with Sibi K Thomas, has scripted this one independently. Shoot for the movie was recently wrapped up. The team shot together for 116 days. They also had a pack up party where the audio and motion poster was released.
‘Madura Raja’ has sky-high expectations majorly due to the fact that Vysakh-Udhayakrishna team’s last film ‘Pulimurugan’ emerged as a record breaking blockbuster. Mammootty fans are hoping that the duo can repeat the success this time as well. Almost the same technical team from ‘Pulimurugan’ has been retained in ‘Madura Raja’ as well, which includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar, music director Gopi Sunder, action choreographer Peter Hein and editor Johnkutty.
‘Madura Raja’ also has an elaborate star cast comprising of four female leads in Anusree, Shamna Kasim, Anna Reshma and Mahima Nambiar. Sunny Leone has also performed a special dance number in the movie along with Mammootty. Tamil actor Jai is making his Malayalam debut by playing a prominent role. Jagapathi Babu will be seen as the villian.
Nelson Ipe is producing ‘Madura Raja’, which is scheduled for a grand Vishu release in April.
