Jayaram is excited after seeing Kalidas’ Poomaram song’s reception

Actor Jayaram’s son Kalidas Jayaram is making a comeback to Malayalam film industry after 12 long years through the movie Poomaram. The song Njanum Njanumentalum from the movie has been creating waves ever since its release.

This song has already become the most viewed Malayalam song in YouTube with over 2.5 million views. Kalidas Jayaram has a beautiful grace and charm while rendering the song.

After the stupendous success of the song, the film ‘Poomaram’ has been highly expected by the audience. Actor Jayaram is elated after seeing the great reception the song has received.

In a recent interview, he said that Malayali audience welcomed his mimicry performance on-stage that helped him to bag a role in Padmarajan’s Aparan. The actor has acted in over 100 movies with a number of blockbusters to his name. He added that, nothing more is so gratifying for a father than the love that has been showered on his son.

Kalidas Jayaram was last seen as a child actor in Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum. He played Jayaram’s son’s character in the movie also. Kalidas movie won the National award for best child actor that year for his terrific performance.

The actor recently made his debut as a lead actor in Kollywood through the Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum that had Prabhu, Urvashi and Pooja Kumar in other important roles. Kamal Haasan played a cameo role in the movie.

Poomaram marks his first Malayalam movie as a male lead. This movie directed by Abrid Shine will be a campus based entertainer which is scheduled to release in February next year.
