Kamal Haasan not to celebrate his birthday as people of Tamil Nadu are suffering due to rains!
Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is turning 63 today and wishes have been pouring in for the actor from fans and well-wishers all across the globe. However, the actor has decided not to celebrate his birthday this year as people of Tamil Nadu are suffering from the torrential rains. The state has been affected by the heavy downpour in the past one week with daily life coming to a standstill in many low lying areas.
Kamal tweeted,
“To those who love me and dislike the idea of my cancelling my birthday celebrations;
Tomorrow is just another day if you just celebrate and fail to seize it. If we can make it better in pursuit of a cause then we become the change we seek.”
This touching gesture by Kamal Haasan has been getting appreciation from netizens as well as the general public. He will be visiting a medical camp set up by his fans in Chennai city, and later head to take account of the situation in areas that are worst affected due to the recent rains.
Kamal, of late has been very vocal about all socio-political issues. A staunch critic of the right wing groups, Kamal is planning to float his own political party. He has already announced his political intentions and is all set to launch his new mobile application today. He has called the phone app the first step in his political journey.
On the professional front, Kamal is working on the post-production of his long delayed Vishwaroopam 2. Composer Ghibran recently informed that the movie is shaping up well and the teaser will be released very soon. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual and Shankar directorial Indian 2 are the two other films in Kamal’s kitty.
